The STUFFit Full Season Experience

The course runs each Wednesday (or Tuesday or Thursday) 8:30am to 4:00pm during school terms
+ two school holiday team/work sessions in April and September.
STUFFit Student Film Festival offers a curated educational experience for students aged 15 to 19.
Students work as a team and build a suite of transferable skills and networks together.
This dynamic program is hands-on learning, running a well-established international student film festival.

STUFFit Festival Season 25Crew
Duration: Commences 5th February 2025 Finishes 5th November 2025 with several school-holiday team/work sessions.
Schedule: Every Tuesday,Wednesday or Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM during school terms + two school-holiday 3-day team/work sessions. Days will be determined based on what day the majority of students can be away from school.
Age Group: 15 to 19
Description: This comprehensive course encompasses the entire process of planning, marketing, and delivering our 13 year-old international student film festival.
The 25Crew, gain invaluable real-world experience in event management, including the responsibility of managing the festival's budget of $10,000. This practical application of event skills is a unique aspect of the course, also providing students the opportunity to develop ‘relational capital’ within the creative industries.Qualify your experience: Through our collaboration with Learning Coach (RTO45570), students will have, if all requirements are met, the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning on their STUFFit experience and be assessed for a Certificate III in Events (SIT30522). Course Fees: $4500 for the full season (we are working to secure part-funding for students with limited financial resources)

STUFFit Screening Crew-build
Date: 27th & 28th September 2025
Description: Join the Screening Crew as we run through a 90% dress-rehearsal for the main STUFFit screening event on Saturday 5th October. A team of professionals will work with the Screening Crew to design the lighting, camera angles, sound recording, seating plan, stage placement, signage and everything else needed for our Screening event on 5th October.

Open to: People aged 13 to 19 with a get-the-job-done attitude and the capacity to follow directions.

a pocket history 2011 to 2021
STUFFit Student Film Festival was founded in 2011 by Bernadette Natoli, Kathryn Kiernan-Molloy and Jasmine McCaul at St. John’s College Nambour. Over the next ten years over 170 students worked on the management team, STUFFit had received over 1600 original short films made by teenagers in over 20 countries.
